Delete your data

Your data is yours. You can remove individual items, stop future extension capture, or request deletion of your entire Apply To It account and associated data.

01 Delete individual jobs or resumes

From the app

1 Open All Jobs or Resumes in the app.
2 Open the item you want to remove.
3 Choose Delete where available. The item is removed from your account and hidden from all views after the deletion request is processed.

Deleting a job removes it from your account and hides it from all views; related comparisons, summaries, and AI analysis are retained but no longer shown. Deleting a resume may remove or limit access to comparisons that depended on that resume.

Alpha note

Apply To It is currently in alpha. Some self-service deletion tools may still be limited. If you cannot delete something from the app, email us and we will help.

1 Email us from the email address associated with your Apply To It account.
2 Use the subject line Delete my account.
3 Tell us that you want your Apply To It account and associated data deleted.
4 We will verify the request and delete or anonymize your account data within 30 days where technically feasible.

This cannot be undone

Account deletion is permanent. During alpha, if you want a copy of your data before deletion, contact us before requesting deletion and we will help where technically feasible.

03 Prefer to request it by email?

Email is the primary way to request account-level deletion during alpha. You can also use email if you cannot access your account or need help deleting specific items.

We aim to respond within 5 business days

1 Email from your account email.
2 Use the subject line Delete my data and tell us whether you want your whole account deleted or only specific items removed.
3 We will verify that the request came from the account owner, process the deletion, and confirm when it is complete.

04 Remove the extension

Removing the browser extension stops future capture from that browser. It does not delete data already saved to your Apply To It account. To delete saved data, use the steps above.

  • Chrome: right-click the Apply To It icon in the toolbar and choose Remove from Chrome, or manage it from your browser’s Extensions page.
  • Chromium-based browsers: if you installed Apply To It in a compatible Chromium-based browser, remove it from that browser’s Extensions page.

05 What happens after deletion

  • Deleted items are removed from your account and hidden from all views promptly after the deletion request is processed.
  • Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days where technically feasible.
  • We may keep a minimal record of the deletion request and any data we are required or permitted to retain for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.
  • Content already sent to our AI provider for a past analysis may be retained by that provider according to its service terms and retention settings. We do not use your job data or resumes to train Apply To It’s own AI models.
